Yes, you’ve heard right! In this guide, you’ll learn how to get a key (or $2 of wallet funds) for free by using Marketplace.tf.
Prerequisites
To start this off you’re going to need three things:
- A Marketplace.tf Seller Account
- The ability to verify your address
- Some patience
As you can see this will work by verifying your residential address. Marketplace.tf will reward you with $2 of store credits when you successfully verify your address. This is enough to buy one Key (around $1.90) or something else!
The only downside is that you’re going to need an already existing seller account. Since Marketplace.tf is shutting its seller program down soon, you aren’t able to register as a new seller anymore.
How to do it
- Head over to the “Verified Billing Addresses” page
This page can be found by clicking on your Profile Picture → Account → “Verified Billing Addresses” or by clicking here.
- Fill out and submit the form
Enter your correct address that you’d like to verify. A postcard containing a six-digit code will be sent to this address free of charge.
- Wait until your post card arrives…
This step might take 1-2 weeks depending on where you live. Just have some patience. After all, it’s free!
If it doesn’t arrive after some time you can also edit your address and/or resend the postcard at the “Verified Billing Addresses” page. - Verify your six-digit code
When you’ve received the postcard, go to the “Verified Billing Addresses” page again and click on the “Verify” button next to the address you’d like to verify.
Now enter the code on the back of the postcard. - Claim your $2 store credits
After successfully verifying your address, you should’ve received a message saying that you’ve been rewarded with a $2 gift card.
